I was just thinking about how specific cars in specific areas become the vehicle of choice for all yuppies. While in Puerto Rico the other week I noticed the default yuppie-mobile seems to be any Porsche. In Arizona it was probably the decked out Wrangler unlimited. Around where I live is a little more difficult, but if I had to choose one I'd say it's probably any 5-series BMW.
So what's the default yuppie-mobile in your area?

Define yuppie. Even yuppies are different region to region. Some it’s coddled middle class kids, other regions its well to do middle management 20-somethings with MBAs from an Ivy League school... etc.

Trucks actually modified for overlanding.

the middle management 20 somethings from an Ivy League school is generally what I think of as a yuppie (basically well paid, youngish, and from a well to do family)

Live in Metro Detroit and want to look fun & sporty?! Then I have a base model Mustang just for you! Hell even if you like cars theres a turbo you can put a BOV on or a V8 you can straight pipe!
*yes already bov’d ecoboosts / straight piped GTs around and countless base spec ones too.

I feel like I see somewhat of a variety here in Utah, but I think mainly BMW.

Central Florida.
Besides the super common 3 and 5 series that are everywhere.
Id say the Panamera and Cayenne. Base models hehe.

Boston area: Leased A4 2.0T - yuppies don’t care about performance, they just want to be seen in a new Audi.

it’s a tossup between the 328d xDrive wagon and any X3 (whatever yadayadadriveI/x/m235464535678million...)
plenty of Q5s as well...

BMW 3 series. Not an M3 either, the cheapest model with least amount of options that can be leased.

IMHO it doesnt matter how great they make it, the bros here ruin it. Took all of 1 week for a tool to modify and start posting his ecoboost all over the local car group FB about how its the best thing ever.
Bov’d, tune and of course plastidip.

Although, all said and done that doesn’t sound that bad. At least it isn’t stanced!

Range Rovers. Range Rovers everywhere. Next would be Audi.

In Philly it was an S4 or S5 probably. Or the perennial favorite; the 335xi. My current Midwestern situation is completely devoid of yuppies. However, there are a lot of nouveau riche country bumpkins driving around in $50K trucks to buy $10 dungarees at Walmart. Those are the people I hate.

Acura, the luxury car for someone who can’t actually afford a luxury car.

S5. the default geriatric-mobile is S-Class. Then you get badasses living on the fringe of society like me who drive old Cadillacs.

In the DC area it depends on the age and money. For most 20-30 somethings its mid-entry level German cars, i.e. nicely appointed 3/A4/C class cars or bare bones 5/A6/E cars. For the older crowd Lexus RX series. And if you’re making over a quarter-mil its a Tesla.

Audi - mostly A4s and Q5s
